UCCS Lifting Furloughs

"I am pleased to announce today that all furloughs related to COVID-19 have been lifted, retroactive to January 1, 2021." — Chancellor Venkat Reddy

Dear UCCS faculty and staff,

Our spring enrollments, from a revenue perspective, have come in better than expected as of the spring census date yesterday, keeping us slightly ahead of the cautious budget we established for the year. I give credit to our faculty and staff for going above and beyond to ensure our students stayed in school and had the best experience possible during a pandemic. Thank you all for your extraordinary efforts.

I am pleased to announce today that all furloughs related to COVID-19 have been lifted, retroactive to January 1, 2021. You should not plan on taking any additional furlough time this fiscal year. You will receive another announcement from HR soon with implementation details.

I am encouraged that 2021 will be a brighter and more hopeful year than last. Thank you for your commitment to the success of our students even as you remain flexible and resilient in the face of these challenges. I know we will make it through them, together.

Respectfully,
