Future of Work Task Force Report

Dear members of the UCCS community,

I hope you all had a restful Spring Break!

The Future of Work Task Force, which was convened in March 2021, has finalized a report with recommendations. I encourage you to take a look at the full report and accompanying website.

I’d like to give my deep thanks to Carlos García, Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs for leading the task force, and to the many faculty, staff and students who contributed to its work. Their names are listed in the report.

We have learned a great deal since March 2020. And although many of us have returned to campus, we are in the process of determining what a workplace can — and should — be. I know that questions of flexibility, recruitment, retention, resources and technology are top of mind for us all.

Making UCCS a place where our faculty and staff can thrive as they help our students succeed is paramount. I am encouraged to see innovative and actionable recommendations from the Future of Work Taskforce. These recommendations will be important in designing our new future-of-work environment that helps prioritize the health, wellbeing and long-term success of all faculty, staff and students.

Respectfully,

Chancellor Venkat Reddy's Signature
