Dear members of the UCCS community,

With the resignation of Laura Alexander, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resources Officer, I want to announce a change in the leadership structure of the Human Resources Department.

I have decided to tap into the existing leadership talent on our campus and task Harper Johnson, Chief Information Officer and Assistant Vice Chancellor of Information Technology, with the additional responsibility of overseeing the Human Resources Department, effective today. Harper is a proven leader with a long tenure in higher education with leadership experience both at the campus and the CU system level. I am confident he will provide the same high-quality leadership to HR that he has provided to OIT.   

Our HR team will continue to stay committed to the mission of the campus as they support our faculty, staff and students.
