Sending Support and Condolences to the Boulder Community

"Let us all send love and light to our CU Boulder family in the coming days."— Chancellor Venkat Reddy

Dear members of the UCCS community,

My heart is heavy as I write to address the second mass shooting to impact our lives in less than a week – this time closer to home, in Boulder, Colorado.

Last night we learned that 10 victims, including Boulder Police officer Eric Talley, lost their lives during this unspeakable tragedy.

My heart breaks for the victims, their families and all those who loved them. It breaks, too, for the impact on our CU Boulder family. As the campus and surrounding community grieve, we send our deepest support and condolences, and will continue to offer our support in the days to come.

Support is also available to any members of the Mountain Lion family who may need it. Students can visit the Wellness Center. Faculty and staff can utilize the Colorado State Employee Assistance Program or the UCCS HealthCircle Primary Care Clinic at the Lane Center.

Let us all send love and light to our CU Boulder family in the coming days.

Respectfully,
