Update on UCCS’ Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion search

Dear members of the UCCS community,

I write with an update on the search for UCCS’ Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

It has been a little over a month since we met three candidates for the position. I am deeply grateful for those who engaged with these individuals when they visited campus. For a variety of reasons, we were unable to complete the hire.

After careful consideration, I asked the search committee to review the original applicants once again. They have recommended two additional finalists for the position. One of the candidates requested a virtual interview due to a recent increase in COVID cases. Therefore, we have invited each candidate to a full-day, virtual campus visit on Dec. 7 and Dec. 9. They will each give a campus-wide open forum session and conduct group and personal interviews.
