Dr. Nancy Marchand-Martella is currently a Special Advisor to the Chancellor on Faculty Success Initiatives at UCCS, having also served as the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Prior to coming to UCCS, Dr. Marchand-Martella served as the Suzi and Dale Gallagher Dean of the College of Education at Purdue University. At Purdue, Marchand-Martella led the College of Education’s Innovation Initiative, the most comprehensive change in over two decades to the teacher education curriculum spanning five colleges. Dr. Marchand-Martella has over 35 years of experience working with students at the preK-12 and university levels and is a board certified behavior analyst—doctoral level. She is widely published in the area of academic remediation and has authored several textbooks on instruction, behavior management, and research methods along with literacy programs for at-risk students through McGraw-Hill. Dr. Marchand-Martella is a first-generation college graduate.
